Still Unallocated & Deeply Worried – Desperately Looking for Any Project Opportunity
Hiii all,
I’m writing this with a lot of stress and concern. I’ve been unallocated since June 1st, and despite every effort to reach out and stay proactive, I haven't received any project calls or responses.
In the past few months, I’ve seen three of my close friends get laid off after being released, and I’m scared I might be next. I was released on June 1st, and the silence since then has been extremely tough to deal with.
I’m not sitting idle,I’ve upskilled myself in Golang, built a working API, deployed it to servers, and kept myself fully ready to contribute. I’ve consistently received A bands in the last two appraisals, and was even a Top Performer during ILP in Trivandrum.
But now, even after trying every channel and reaching out to multiple POCs, the only response I get is: “Sorry, our project is downsizing too.”
I’m open to ANY project, ANY domain,I just want to work and contribute. Please, if any manager, POC, or team is looking for a resource, even short-term, I’m available and eager to start immediately.I have Total Experience of 1.7 Years and Base location is TCS Pune Sahyadri Park.
This uncertainty is taking a real mental toll, and I’m genuinely worried about my future. I’m doing everything I can from my side—please help if you can.

If you get laid off then what will happen?
Financial Stress? -- You can bounce back after 3 months (if you truly were an High Performer)
Reputation Loss? -- Society & family will forget about your "humiliation" within 1 month..
Be grateful that you are facing this challenge during early career while you are still a bachelor.. Trust me it looks like the end of the world but IT TRULY ISN'T..
NO ONE CAN TAKE YOUR SKILLS.. And Frankly Golang vacancy is really rare . you need to find another domain..

I get that this isn’t the end of the world, and yes, I’m doing everything I can to stay positive and focused. But honestly, being on the bench for this long with no callbacks, seeing friends get released it does shake you up, no matter how prepared you are.
You’re right skills can’t be taken away. That’s why I’ve been actively learning Golang, building and deploying real APIs, and I’m now open to exploring other domains too if that helps get me back in,and not only Golang i had also learnt SQL and PostgreSQL as well.
I just need one opportunity to prove my worth again. Thanks again for the support and if you come across anything, I'd be grateful.

Heyya Bud, listen, I know times are troubling. I dont want to break the bad news but I dont want to sugar coat things either.
Right now Projects are all struggling. Getting new projects is also hard. Clients want really good discount and cost cuts. Due to which projects are releasing associates.
There are legacy projects or projects that are using tech ancient which alot of orgs would not be using and that is Career suicide.
Now what you can do dear friend is leverage the udemy, linked in learning , etc that TCS offers and get really good at a few present tech and get certifications. It will really make a difference.
One of my peers from my previous project was benched but he went all in and learned inside out of Data Science and then applied outside the org got a really good hike. This happened 6 months back. He is happy now in his new firm.
I am not saying every individual is the same. Your case you have got consistent A band which is lit. You have built yourself great in GoLang, now make yourself irreplaceably good at it. Take a few certifications and built a portfolio.
Also start applying outside the organisation. Trust me dude I am sure you will be on demand and pecked away with a huge package. One thing I noticed TCS has alot of high talented individuals but make them feel like they know crap. Its only when they start applying outside they realise they are worth so much more. Do please try.
Also 1.7 Years make you really attractive for other organisations. For alot of em age is a big factor.
Finally , please dont lose sleep and panic over this. Just believe in yourself. You got this dude.

Brother i know the kind of feeling and thoughts which is coming in your mind right now but don't lose hope bro just try yourself and keep sending mails to various projects Manager according to your skills I also felt the same thing but one day I got allocated so don't be disheartened just continue with your efforts

Thanks for being a positive vibe for the community, we all need it .

Please check and apply accordingly

Work on yourself more than ever...apply in other organisations too and I m sure you will crack something
