Still don't know what I'm doing in TCS
I joined tcs in August 2023 for a digital role, and then I went through training (Waste of time as we don't get project role for what they trained us on).
After that, in October, I was selected for a project for the next 3 months they gave training material and some tasks on front-end using Angular. Then comes the twist, and the team lead called me and said they are releasing me due to budget issues 🫠. I then decided to accept only projects that allow me to work from hyderabad. In march end, I was selected to a project this time React 😐. And moved to Hyderabad. Now it's been almost 2 months. I'm reporting in a shared odc, and I don't know who all my teammates are. I'm just going to the office sitting there for a few hours and returning.
It's been nearly 8 months since I joined tcs, and still no work, nothing....
As a fresher, I want to ask you guys - does tcs work like this and I'm taking pressure or I'm lacking?

Just enjoy man, these days are not going to come back once the work starts. You'll come look back to these easy days.

I joined in aug 2022 and it's going to be two years now and even after allocated to projects and doing work I don't know what I am doing here....just nothing...waste of time and no upskilling through projects...just all waste of time things and career...

Even my cousin who joined as fresher in TCS had to wait almost like 1.5 years to get a project

In my case, I'm in a project, but I don't know what the work is 🥲

Same here bro, I am in the project for more than 7 months now. But they are giving the works small chunks of work from the project to do seperately like they want me to get more hands-on before I get my hands dirty in the real work even after 6-7 months.

I am also going through the same situation right now. I was taken into BT project on Feb 2023 but till now I have been just going to office and no team confirmed. I still don't understand why am I going to office, why am I staying in Hyderabad away from family, what am I doing in my life. If we don't go to office, I am getting calls that I am not compliant for wfo🥲. I have skilled up from 4 months but I am not getting any offer outside with this 3 months notice period🫠😡
Friends
Freshers and exp people less than 10/12 yrs, better don't come to TCS.
FIRST: Fresher to 10 to 12 yrs...You switch multiple companies like 5 to 6...Get full exp, learn new skills, Increase your pack after each shift, meet different people, visit different places.
After that you come to TCS and Settle here for your Retirement. At this time, you will have everything in Hand(Skills, Money, Exp, Handling people..etc)
ALL THE BEST 👍

Best time to learn , have focus , achieve ur long goals ,switch and repeat.

I worked in TCS for 1 year but after 1 year still I didn't get the exact work that I did for 1 year.
Then I decided to leave TCS and learn data science and artificial intelligence. Now I'm working as an artificial intelligence engineer in Northrop Grumman and working in a 6th generation fighter jet project.
