STERP Advance claims{Commuting expenses) Recovery from India Payment

I have received a communication from India STREP stating that they intend to recover certain claim amounts from my salary starting next month. One of the claims is over a year old, while the other is more than three months old. Both of these amounts are related to on-site assignments. Both are commuting expenses which were approved by manager that time.Could you please provide your views on how the recovery process will be carried out?
