There have been a lot of discussions about the raises, so let me clarify the reality here:

For L9s, the increase is capped at 5%—I currently have four L9s on my team, and each received a 5% hike along with a 10% VP. L10s are seeing a 7% hike and 9% VP. For L9 to L12, raises are minimal overall. For L8 to L5, the term being used is “targeted hike,” but in practice, it’s zero for me and others in my circle.

Please keep expectations in check. Based on yesterday’s leadership connect, there’s no guarantee for any further increases in June. Leaders made it clear that we shouldn’t make promises to our team members for June, as there’s no guarantee one will happen then either. If you’re receiving a raise now, it’s likely there won’t be another one soon.

This outcome was determined by HR, and it applies across the board—even managers aren’t exempt. At least there’s an increase, so I’d suggest either accepting it and moving forward or considering other options if needed.

For L8 and above, raises are based on a targeted approach, meaning only specific individuals are receiving adjustments. For example, my reportee’s salary is now higher than mine after this appraisal (she’s L9, while I’m L8). It’s just the way the process works, and I want to be transparent about that.

There’s no benefit in debating this further. Please stay calm and make the choice that feels right for you—but remember, there’s no guarantee of any additional increases in June either.

Hi, I was denied hike stating that I'm already getting paid higher than the market. How can I deal with this with the management?

Raises are limited, and future hikes aren't guaranteed. Accept it or explore other options, but don't expect more soon
