Static electric shocks
I don’t know if it’s me or Bengaluru but for last 2-3 days, I have been getting these static electric shocks in almost everything that I touch, door handles, laptop and so on.
Anyone else on the same boat?
So yesterday i went to soul spirit mall for a movie. While going in escalator i got a very good electric discharge. And this is not the first time, i have seen happen to me many times even on the plain surfaces in Bangalore. I have seen similar experiences shared in Bangalore sub reddit as well. Have you experienced any?
I've noticed this common occurrence in shopping malls where many visitors wear shoes 👟 and socks 🧦.
As people walk, friction between their socks 🧦 and the ground generates static electricity ⚡️ . When individuals touch conductive surfaces like railings, escalator rails, they transfer this static charge irrespective of the place.
This exchange of static electricity ⚡️ can lead to electric discharges, affecting those who come into contact with the charged surfaces.
It's an interesting phenomenon 🧪⚗️ influenced by the everyday movement of people in these kind of crowded spaces.
When I used to wear DMart Socks 🧦, whoever touch me experience a static/shock ⚡️😂.
Some premium socks 🧦 may may help you avoid this.
Ah now I got an explanation 😂Thanks

Have you experienced static shocks frequently these days?
What's the solution? Or should I ask why is it happening? Any clue...

It's madness what's happening in this city. I was once, myself, attacked by a mob after a guy ran his bike into my car and then threw a huge rock at me because I called him crazy.
