Started my career with 7 LPA remote role

When I reach 2 YOE , how much CTC should I ideally jump on for in office roles? Assuming my salary will be 9 LPA at that time, even a 12 LPA jump won't make sense because with rent I will be saving less . So what should be my target here when I switch?

Ik I can't be delusional into expecting 15 LPA off the bat cus I am in a data role

You can literally get 15LPA if you want now.. I am from one of the "WITCH" company who are notorious for minimal pay.. Even they have started paying 9LPA to freshers out of college.. Search "PRIME hiring"

The correlation of SALARY vs EXPERIENCE is not valid.. It is purely SALARY vs KNOWLEDGE with coefficient of "HANDSON"

Very important thing to consider is that nowadays HIGH SALARY doesn't guarantee market relevance.. It means some XYZ company had critical requirement & was ready to pour MONEY.

DON'T lose yourself in CTC because I have seen people who once got high salary now posting on LINKEDIN everyday to find a job because they never validated their MARKET Relevance..

Congratulations btw.. Data role is now one of the most competitive role in our IT right now..

Am I being underpaid for SDE 2?

I work for a Series A start-up in Bangalore. I have 5 YOE and my current base is 21 LPA and ~5L worth of ESOPs a year.

Seeing Grapevine salary charts, I feel I might be underpaid. Should I negotiate or look for other opportunities or is...
