Stalking employees on Linkedin for company information

Suppose if you feel that you are being considered for a job or you get that sense of sure selection by the org, and you have no much proper information about the org in the internet. Will you find current working employees of that same company on LinkedIn and slide into their DMs to know about the org, team, ceo?

Obviously. You wud be a fool not to...

You need to ensure the reason of your switch is taken care of... (Career, culture, job role, learning, better boss etc)

Hmm… I did that. It was a small fintech company headquartered in Pune ends with a name “buzz”. The guy ratted me out and spoke to his HR. He never replied to my questions in Linkedin. The HR contacted me and gave me a warning and refrained me in not doing such activities until officially the offer letter was rolled out and asked me to send an apology letter to her so she can share the same to the Hiring Manager.

I got so pissed off and rejected to proceed ahead with the org. Told her not to focus on me and move on with other candidates.

P.S Many many candidates have DM’d me to know about Paytm company and the tech stack. I have given genuine feedback and told them the org is a good company to work for. Not once I ratted out to HR.

Always reach out to ex employees, ideally people who have left recently

Current employees when there is a common connection - otherwise they may or may not be honest
