I got salary revision on Feb saying effective from Jan 1 and salary revised from 4.09 to 4.5L. Recently I got promotion letter to TA and in the letter salary revised from 4.09 to 5.2. Not from 4.5L. And it seems very low. Any idea is this same for all?

As both the hike and promotion applicable from same date highest of the hike will be considered, only good thing happened is instead of regular 17% they have considered the hike in feb and have given 25%+ hike for the promotion
