Freshers impacted in software/product and data science profiles. Day 1 company in all colleges. Placement season is almost over everywhere and now these students are without a job just days before their joining date. No severance too unlike layoffs.

Used to pay a lot though, 30 lakhs base salary for SDEs and 15 for product analysts after taking gruelling overnight interviews.

Heard internally there struggling a lot which is reflected in their stock price which is halved from 2021 despite a bull run in US tech companies in the same period.

Note to anyone thinking of getting into sprinkr(obviously in future cause they showing middle finger now): join only if you want to work like a donkey in exchange of lots of money.

I feel that the College placement cells should come up with a policy. If a company is a top tier company, like Day 0,1,2,etc. And they desire top talent, then they shouldn't just get away with revoking offers. Either they should pay the students the normal notice period pay or get blacklisted. I understand that companies do pay a commission to the college for every student they recruit but in all this hassle, students are the ones that are most affected. The earlier you come to recruit talent, the heavier you should pay when revoking the offers.

Sadly it won't happen in India, if any 1 college does that, they can hire from other toer 1 colleges. Indian market is oversaturated when it comes to entry level jobs.

Everyone’s stock price is halved if u compare with 2021. Market is pretty bad so this is just another proof of it. Tier 1 clg folks will still be picked up by good companies. Can’t image Tier 2/3 folks situation. Unless there are more jobs paying sensible compensation for freshers <15L. Anyway, what the company did is bad but it’s not surprising tbh

I have a friend in tier 2(one nit) and i have heard they revoked offer from there also. So may be they have hired from other tier 2 colleges as well. And yes your statement is correct, they visit tier 1 colleges only, but this year they have visited more colleges i think.
