Trending @Infosys; Specialist Programmer (Data Engineer) put into PIP – because of politics, not performance

I’m currently on my 4th project at Infosys. Unfortunately, my 3rd project didn’t go well — not because of a lack of effort, but due to internal politics. The manager gave feedback like "doesn’t even know any tech" and that I "have an attitude."

Reality? I’ve consistently performed well across all my projects. Yes, I struggled during the 3rd project I was brought in as a Data Engineer, but the work was heavily focused on Azure application development, which wasn’t my primary area. Despite the mismatch, I did my best to cope with unrealistic timelines and steep expectations from the client.

Now HR has scheduled a meeting this week. Honestly, I’m confident in my skills and already exploring better opportunities outside. I’ve decided to resign anyway but even then, do I still need to go through a PIP?

Sharing this just to say: sometimes it’s not about your skills, it’s about politics. If you’re facing the same stay strong, back yourself, and never forget your worth. ✌️

They will give you 2 choice on the basis of you want to go on pip or not

  1. If not Immediate release with 5 month salary
2.if yes than 2 month of pip and if you dont clear it 3 month salary and release....and dont worry they will tell you to resign even after not clearing pip..so no -ve feedback on experience...

Its upto you which option you choose ...

5 months' only the basic salary or including everything i.e. whatever in hand we are getting now?

I guess my comments got trimmed
2nd option is that after pip if not clear you will get 3 month salary and release ....

If you are confident on your skill, then the HR will let you leave the company immediately with 3 month salary while in pip, and you can find another job as a immediate joiner.

Nopes. If you are in pip and want to leave, you will be relieved immediately without any benefits. I have gone thru this. I didn't accept pip. Left infy last month with 5 months pay.

Don’t accept the PiP , take the 5 months salary option and get immediate release . If you are confident of skills you will be lapped up quick and 5 month salary will be your bonus

The market is too good for Azure Data Engineers right now , better you look outside and hopefully you will get a better opportunity.
