Got it. I did not like Vietnam personally. Thailand works if you go for the smaller islands

Would suggest to book via any good travel partner group, if this is your first trip outside india.
Also that 40k/person seems very less if you have included flights as well in that

Try Vietnam if you have more than a week for the trip, if short on time, Thailand is better.
