Trending @Accenture; Soo many people are on bench in EMEA, why ?
From the past 3 to 4 months Iam getting so many mails asking for openings in my team or known persons, approximately Iam getting about 10 to 15 mails a day asking for staffing, what is the reason for this, why these many people are on bench and without project, and what are the consequences of this.

I'm hard locked to a project and I don't have any work , i am selected to another project but they are saying that if current project will release me then only they will sl me ....... current manager is saying they will check and no response

Same for me even but if you are sure that if you get released to bench they will hardlock you then ask you current project PMO to get you to release to bench as the other project is ready to take you

One more doubt, I have charge code and I am applying...... I already informed my manager.
In this case am I on the bench or project??
Please suggest me.

Yes,even in my team the manager is trying to remove the people in the name of more headcount and less work whereas the scenario is that everybody in the team is doing the great job and if anyone leaves it will be a great chaos.. the client is happy and there are no escalations but the situation can soon turn if any of the member is removed..is it done overall Accenture?

That is how managers f up everything

Guys FYI…There is a headcount reduction planned across projects and two resources from mine would be moved out as a result.

AFAIK, Accenture isn't getting the new projects as expected for this fiscal year. They have hired recruited resources in a mass based on new project predictions but now the projects are delayed or canceled which causing a huge increase in Bench count.
This is majority happening with Microsoft services and Technology related skill sets.

Yes, I got to know most of the projects are reducing headcount to 25%...they are moving ppl to the bench and then exit...so many are leaving
