Sometimes I feel Ashamed about my Workplace

Every Employee in a company has his own Personal Priorities in his life. Not everyone will be there for your Shitty Event. Why don't they understand Bruhh.

I am saying on behalf of some people. One guy was already in his Hometown and the lead was asking why didn't you come even receiving Appreciation from the Client. Still this is not enough for them to work for clients without any break.

Another mistake is from the management department that they should understand that It's been an years and they should know that after completing 12 days no one will stay in the office location during Diwali Celebration. Obviously to spend quality time with Family and Friends and to some bucks to stay Alive in Metro City. It's a very long chain of Egoistic people. Those people are staying with their own family. Married and living with kids so they consider that everyone was living a typical life like me. No bro you are fucked totally. You are not a human because they understand each other

But the only thing is I'll never understand their mindset. How and what they think about everyone.

BTW what do you think about it ? What should I reply here ?

Diwali is next week. It appears from the chat that people were asked to come to office on specific days, but everyone except one guy skipped office en-masse, which seems wrong on part of the employees.

But bro some people needs to Booked their Tickets and Flights 2 months ago just to reach home safely and early to spend more time with parents once in a year. They informed the date two days ago. So how are we supposed to show on time. What management is doing then ? That's my question actually

If the system is broken then resistance is blameless.

It is mentioned in chat that employee confirmed to come a day before "yesterday u told u will be coming " if he was in hometown he could have clearly told that he cannot come rather than nit coming and then telling that he is in home town.

SqueakyPenguin
SqueakyPenguin

I agree with you bro. But the date was not confirmed of the festival and he got an early booking so he has to leave the Town. But my POV is there should be some mutual understanding these guys are freshers not the years of experience PPL.

BubblyPanda

Dear hold my mojito, I think you are not understanding tge replies here. Looks like the communication gap has come from the consultants' side as much as from the management side. Both sides have to be blamed for wrong/incomplete communication about coming to office

Employees are expected to show up for these events. But incase they are on leave, management cannot force them to attend. Managers should be informed in advance incase employees are unable to attend. Remember these managers also have to answer to their bosses.

SqueakyPenguin
SqueakyPenguin

Okay bro I agree. That one employee hasn't informed the manager that he was in hometown. But the manager should understand and have some mutual understanding about his employee. That's all I want. And yes they also want to inform upper people it's a very long chain 😔 but someone has to Break it by showing some difference that these events should inform 1 month before atleast.

I'm an ex employee of Capgemini, and one of my colleague from CG and I worked for the same client and during my 2 years of tenure with CG, he neither showed up to the client office not CG, I'm not sure how no one has pointed him out. Whereas I love going to the office, so I showed up to the office of client daily and I received an email from CG of no-show compliance email. I had to write multiple emails back and forth, to prove that I was going to the client location 5 days a week.

People will be attached to the company when they are paid well , taken care of well . Else don't expect anything from them . They have their own issues in shitty inflated cities and debts .

Clear case of lack of communication between manager & team...the manager may not be easy to talk to and reach.... miscommunication and lack of trust due to no personal touch ..

SqueakyPenguin
SqueakyPenguin

You got it Exactly bro. He's difficult to reach. Obviously he got lots of work. But he directly set the meeting without asking anyone that you guys will be free or not how anyone can be at his expected time. And yes lack of communication is also there.

WigglyBanana

Ah fuck bro, that just looks like poor culture :/ You should just show that you genuinely told them about it

SqueakyPenguin

Even after telling them. They expect us to Show up at the event. One guy already texted about it😅

Is it Capgemini? I was once in a similar manager's team, it was pathetic, leaving him was the best decision
