Some of the IT pioneers would have been rejected in today's coding interviews.

I doubt Denis Ritchie, Bjarne Stroustroup, Linus Torvalds, James Gosling or EF Codd would have been selected, as they couldn't write a code in 15 minutes to generate a two dimensional matrix using only arrays.
