Some Mumbai observations as a non Mumbaikar

  • Young boys of Juhu, Bandra, Versova all look like Aryan Khan and Vedang Raina (Archies starcast), like everyone is an actor here or what?

  • The traffic isn't shitty, the drivers are. They are coming at you from everywhere, left right front. If you can drive here, you are good for anywhere tbh

  • Only 1% of the Two wheelers drivers wear helmet. No fear of traffic cops if not for life?

  • The roads man, the roads. Never appreciated Delhi/Gurgaon more than seeing such tiny roads across the country

  • The pay disparity is on the face! Posh areas with tall buildings are lined with small houses - tarpaulin roof, bare walls but AC units

  • The family bond is very evident - families watching TVs together with windows open (why don't they draw curtains tbh?) or be it on beaches over the weekend. It's cute nonetheless ❤️

  • The safety is crazy (in a very good way). I was out at 10pm last night, and my mind was panicking like shit. But looks like, be it 10 am or 10pm, it is BAU for the city

  • Have you seen the traffic signals? Apart from the usual, they have four tubelights in perpendicular. Just cannot jump lights now!

  • Metro has 4 coaches 😆

  • The Sea heals parts of your soul you didn’t even know were broken 🥺

Kaunse angle se sasta hai Mumbai 🫠 It’s the most expensive city in India. Navi Mumbai and Thane don’t count as Mumbai btw 😝

Mumbai is the only city where I have seen swinging at such a profane scale. Some of the parties I have been made me realize that these folks are literally living in pure hedonism which is too much fun.

Mumbai folks are very different, distant in human connections (or maybe that's just the people I met)

Great! Try Rustams ice cream if you visit Marine Drive. Although not as good as it used to be, but worth the try

The tranquility you experience while sitting on Marine Drive and watching the sunset or sunrise is the best part of Mumbai. You get to see all kinds of people there. Mumbai is amazing ❤️

Agree with most Adding my own observations

  • Too diverse, and in a very short stint u can meet ppl from all areas, Law, Films, CA, IT, Advertisement, etc etc.
  • Locals r one of the best mode of travelling, I've ever tried.
  • It's a great city to spend some day, or a week or two. But real struggles starts when u actually have to live there.
  • People don't care much about others & r very open. Unlike Delhi or even Blr, I felt Mumbai much safer, and open.
  • Oh, the chillars still works in Mumbai. Usually in my hometown.. People round off, 23 is 25, 21 is 20 or Smth, but in Mumbai 23 IS 23, 29 IS 29.
  • The diverse network is ❤ Ppl who r non-mumbaikar, r usually so caring & protective towards each other.
  • AC IS MUST.

The young boys from the mentioned areas are elite, if not upper-class rich. Glow comes with money.

Tiny roads you say?

When I see Delhi infra, I see where all my taxes are used.

People who moved out of Bangalore, which city did you move to ?

Bangalore's infra has been crumbling under the weight of its population growth. I believe that yesterday's traffic jam was just a trailer and situation will only worsen with time.
