Software no longer a viable long term career

Lately, I've been thinking that software may not be a viable long term career path due various technological and economic changes happening.

In India specifically when $ gets devalued several of the companies (MNCs) included will start laying people off because the cost dynamics don't work anymore.

My question to those in mid-career roles, what will you pivot to? What's your opinion on this?

Sort of a losing mindset. There has to be something valuable that can be done from the experience gained.

Lol it's a joke, can't really do anything in this world without upskilling. Our parents had to do it when computers came in, now we need to do something. What that is, everyone is figuring it out .
