You will have good time there. I have never been discriminated there.
The most unpopular city of china are the best. I had gone to China in 2010 odd. To a tier 2 city, i was like a celebrity with people wanting to take pics with me. Something I have never faced as an Indian in my life

Very respectfully worked at a Chinese VC for sometime and stayed there for entire Covid. Even dated my legal associate and she was very respecting and hospitable. Even one of my current developers is Chinese and he’s a very respecting
