The tribal/prehistoric mindset of sticking together in groups and aligning to the group for survival still sticks with us. The outliers were earlier either ostracized or killed, same now.

But since we don't live in the wild, many survivors make it, prove the society wrong and are then celebrated in a different sub-section of the society they create for themselves.

But it still takes a lot of guts and risk to go against society.

There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing 😖
