SOC vs SDE

I am Computer Science passout in 2024 and in my company there is a position in SOC(Security Operations Center) domain. Though I don't know what positions are there in SOC and I have 0 knowledge about these. I wanted to know on which field can I earn more money in my career? SOC or Software Development Engineering?
