Note: The police only took action since she withdrew money from a government funded scheme. Else, they would've questioned and jailed tha husband's family.

you think thats bad? The cases filed by the inlaws are non compoundable. meaning, the wife now being alive, and the woman's family withdraw the case, they still have to go to court and prove innocence and the court has to quash the FIR/or close the case. The police cant do anything.
