
Trending @Infosys; So Infosys is reportedly offering 21 LPA to freshers now. Good for them, honestly no hate for fresh talent.
But here’s the reality check.
Someone working here for 4+ years, leading projects, mentoring juniors, owning design decisions end-to-end as a Lead UX Designer… is still stuck around 8 LPA. And for a basic correction, you literally have to beg for a salary hike, justify your existence, and wait months for a “we’ll see”.
How does this math work? Experience, impact, accountability = less value than market optics?
If loyalty, consistency, and delivery don’t matter, just say it upfront. Because this gap isn’t just demotivating, it’s disrespectful.

To get 21 LPA u need to solve codeforces level problems,can u do it? Whoever gets 21 LPA thing they deserve it because they are literally asked some of toughest questions in coding challenges and then interviews

What about designing?? Who is already doing working hard and learning the things he doesn’t know. You might be a senior manager who is already getting more than 21lpa that’s you are saying like this. Bro Bina coding ke bhi jobs hoti hai idhar okay

You are challenging seniors on the skillset, do you know what is green field implemntaion, brown field implenation. Do you know who is your client, what and how he/ she is giving requirements. Do you know what is RFP, do you know what is architecture diagram, do you know what is CCB ? If yes, then you can challenge seniors on the skillset what you have vs seniors.

I have one of the SP and L3 guy, SP always offline, doesnt respond. where as L3 always reachable, can complete the task.
Only differnce i see is L3 is on legacy technologies and SP is niche.

In today’s workplaces, sincerity and genuine attitude often take a backseat to the growing hype around trendy new-age skills.

Whole economics run on one equation DEMAND and SUPPLY.its also true that money also follow this equation.Feel you are being paid less then a fresher then your supply in the market is more or demand for the fresher with 2100 codeforces rating is high.If you think your demand is also high then swith if there is DEMAND for you then you earn more.

Practically not possible, if a fresher gets 21lpa there will be a lot of chances for termination as well. Continuing improvement and challenging performance is very much required.

Same here i got hired as fresher in year 2022 almost no salary hike and now the same profile getting more than 12 lpa. I resigned from here even they are not ready to match 100% hike but they are ok to give the same to a fresher
