Skill up suggestions

Hey friends, I have been in to .net domain for the past 12 years. Asp.net, c#, sql, mvc etc., worked in both windows and web applications. I'm trying to switch the company and applying for jobs. But not getting much call backs from recruiters. Do i need to skill up myself with front end technologies, .net core etc., kindly need your suggestions.
