Sitharaman Sets Fiscal Deficit Targets for FY25 and FY26

• The fiscal deficit for FY25 is set at 4.8% of GDP, and 4.4% for FY26, as announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
• Net market borrowings for the next fiscal year are estimated at ₹11.54 lakh crore, with a high-level committee for regulatory reforms to be established.
• NaBFID will introduce a partial credit enhancement facility for corporate bonds, and an investment friendliness index for states will be launched.
