Silent Layoff- TCS Bengaluru(RMG reporting associates)
It seems TCS is serious about 35 days policy. A friend of my teammate was forced to resign yesterday along with some20+ people. She was on bench for more than 200 days. It was same day resignation. No ultimatum, no compensation. Just resign. Reminder to everyone who's on bench for a longer period!!! It seems they are moving unit wise, so be careful
It is mainly valid for freshers
Wake up! Just few trainings and fresher will be working for any Associate Consultant, Consultant or Assistant Consultant with 1/5-1/10 salary. So, it's not for freshers I must say!

No it's not, I have an HR friend in TCS. She told, it's for bench warmers for mostly experienced people with 2-3+ yoe. Also the number of associates is above 100+ for now

This is a good step by TCS specially for those who are kamchor....
I have seen this as trend in junior associate second half they will get allocated and first half of year they will move on bench won't report to office and enjoy ... Such people are in thousands
All of them.must be thrown away ....
Some genuine people will also get in line of fire because of them ... Its not good for them but unfortunately we can't do much about it

Hi, I don't understand how it's even possible? RMG assign project to you anyways , if you are on project they don't release you, it may takes even years to some for get release?

If you are not useful for project they will release you as soon as you ask
RMG will send your profile to project... Project calls for interview but you don't perform in interview - don't get selected ... Simple

These people like 200 days are the root cause of the problem. RMG should have taken action sooner.

This is true. Even I heard but the strange thing is that one of the employee who was on bench for 6 months got terminated and there’s one who has been on bench for 1.5 years has not been terminated.

Are they from the same unit? If not then their turn will come eventually...

It's true my Project SDM told me the same thing yesterday

No company in the world will keep employee on the bench for 200 .Be it fresher on experienced. Tcs should have taken these steps earlier. I recently joined tcs and all my previous organization were having max 2 months of bench policy. Once you are out of the project you should try to get on billing soon to secure your job. 200 days of bench period is very high.

What she was expecting? She got salary without any work for 200 days. This is expected.

In my location also RMG have created a list and connecting to all such associates asking them to find alternative opportunities 😕
