Sick leave encashment?

Does your company allow sick leave encashment? I'm a fresher working at a startup. I have too many sick leaves but don't have paid time off. Some people at the company said that you can't encash sick leaves. I feel cheated. I mean I could have used these sick leaves instead of paid time off ones 🥲

Are u very young? This is common knowledge. Always use sick leaves before annual leaves as much as possible

No one pays for sick leaves as far as I know. Also, they lapse at the end of the financial year. That’s why everyone uses them first. Don’t feel cheated and I’d say use them all before the year ends to take a nice break!
