Sick leave during notice period

Is it possible to take a week of sick leave in TCS during notice period? Will they extend LWD in this case?

I got to know my first pregnancy after a month of notice period. I kind of having miscarriage symptoms and doctor has advised to take full bed rest. As this is my priority now, thinking of taking 1 week rest and then start with my work. If anybody know/faced this kind of situation, please advise.
