Trending @Cognizant; "Show Couse Notice"

Hello All,

Currently I am on the bench (15 days ) I got a recommended offer from the TMP page in my home location ( currently in this location). Hence I have applied for this position However the hiring manager has rejected my application ( mentioned that position is filled by another person) and proposed to me for the Chennai location for the same project. Due to multiple reasons I am currently unable to reallocate from my current location. As a result, I had to reject that offer.

On the same day TMP offered me 3 opportunities at my home location and I provided my consent to the process. And the email has been shared with the respected projects manager.. for my interview.

I waited 2 days and after that I approached those managers for my interview. And one of them replied that they don't have any vacancies now. And 2 of them saw my messages but didn't reply...

After 2 days I got an email from HR that mentioned " I deliberately refuse to option for the project opportunity in Chennai. And also mentioned they can take appropriate action for this.

Today I got another email from HR that says " Show Couse Notice" to refuse an offer which is proposed to me ( Chennai location ).. they are asking to provide appropriate justification for rejecting that offer within 3 days or they will terminate me.

This is the 1st offer in 15 days that I refuse.

Can anyone please tell me what will be the right step for me ???? Please need your suggestion on this.

I read every second post like this and it feels like every second person in Cognizant has either recived or about to recieve these SCNs. What is Cognizant doing with people? These people are shamelessly firing people in excuse of fake reasons.

  1. Never reject a project coming through Tmp.
  2. Act dumb and fail interview but do give interview without fail for every project that comes your way.
  3. Try to find a project ASAP. If you get it all good, else reply to SCN with a valid justification explaining your concerns with relocation. First one they should accept but you do that again that can cause problems.

Cognizant really is axing down their own legs and digging their own grave. Most projects they have are in either Chennai or bangalore

Do not refuse tmp projects. They take it seriously. Try to present your case in meeting with valid reasons. They will consider it
