There are ways to be connected and yet restrict access and remain invisible. If it comes to that, people should use that kind of privacy option.
I believe my corporate connections can NEVER be a part of my personal life. Ever. Yes it's not black and white, some other people are lucky. But I strictly keep them away and isolated from my personal life.
