Should someone I know take this Deloitte job if they plan to do an MBA later?

Someone I know got an offer from Deloitte in Hyderabad for an Engagement Associate role in the Audit Delivery Centre. The salary is around ₹3.8 LPA (₹30k in hand). Right now, they are working in Gurugram as a Brand Solutions Associate with a package of ₹4.5 LPA.

They want to switch their field to finance and plan to work for 1 year and then do an MBA in finance. They feel that having Deloitte on their resume will help with MBA admissions and future career growth.

But the Deloitte job is entry-level and mostly a back-office support role. Also, they would need to relocate from Gurugram (where their family lives) to Hyderabad, where they don’t have friends or relatives.

Do you think taking this Deloitte job for a year is a smart move for long-term goals, or should they stay in the current job and try for a better opportunity later?
