Should join accenture or go to onsite and then switch?

I got an offer with 50% hike in accenture and accepted but i am yet to resign in my current company so have to extend DOJ by 1 month. My current company tcs giving 2 months onsite in next month. I have initiated Visa process. I have never been to onsite to another country and would like to try. I have 3.3 YOE and CTC 8 LPA including digital incentive. What should be the better choice?

@iPretendToWork one to 2 year onsite is better opportunity?

Yaa.. that seems better. You will be able to save.

You will get more exposure. Say you get a good name in that project, some customers prefer working with you and find some other project for you within. When customers is ready to give you billing, tcs will happily extend.

2 months projects wont give you that. Thats like vacation. For name sake you can have stamping and put it in resume.

Don’t fall in this TCS trap for on-site opportunity. They did same thing with my friend they approved visa process all the approval and procedures are done but after few months they started showing their true colours they started delaying his travel.
And on-site for 2 month is not a good option it would be better if you get at least for 1 yr then you’ll be able to explore more things and opportunities there.

I worked with Accenture and Accenture is far far better than TCS you’ll get good hikes and variable.

Bro I also got onsite offer but for how many days don't know and waise bhi for just 2 months onsite doesn't value much, if they have provided atleast a year it would have been better. If you come after onsite then again you have to search resign and wait for 3 months. I m not sure whether 2 3 or 6 months onsite is worth it? Food for thought 💭🤔. Please think and let us know as well what decision you took it will help people in future deciding. Good luck

The notice period itself is 3 months in TCS.. So, going onsite-search job - resigning tcs will take a minimum of 4months by the time your deployment will finish. It's a trap buddy and a well designed trap. DON'T FALL FOR IT

I had cleaned wings 1 few months back, when I will be in notice period do I get digital insensitive for those 3 months?

They don’t pay well on onsite. First year onsite will be struggle. Two months makes so sense as the pay structure for short duration is different, employees hardly save anything on short term onsite.
50% hike is better option any day.
Unless onsite is your desire and dream, in which case you must follow your instinct.
One important point to consider, onsite might not give benefits in short run and might not be good from monetary perspective, but will help in shaping your career on long run, better exposure, good client facing roles.
Evaluate carefully.

I suggest you move on, not now but later. Considering the volatility that is prevailing in Accenture. Stay back in TCS for a few more months and move to better companies with better hikes. Don't fall into the trap of short term onsite. Are you trying to move at onsite, if so this is not the right time? As most of the employers, they want to reduce spend cost, they are cutting down head count, better watch and take steps.

What is mean by volatility that is prevailing in Accenture?

Changes due to uncertainties. I was once laid off during COVID from the same organisation with no project in hand. There will be too much pressure which cannot be handled.

Don’t fall in the TCS trap of on-site once you revoke your resignation they will show the true colour they may not let you go for stamping by giving you some reason even if stamping happens also they will not approve your travel , and believe me this happens alot

2month or 2 year onsite?

2 month

Then it's useless. What would you do after 2 month? What's the point of going onshore for 2 month. Atleast 6 months is still considerable. Total waste of time...better to switch get a better salary.
