Trending @Accenture; Should I Take On My Team Lead’s Responsibilities?
I’m a Senior Software Analyst with 6 years of experience. Recently, my team lead got promoted to Assistant Manager, and he has asked me to take over some of his previous responsibilities—like handling daily stand-up calls, maintaining the project board, and tracking my teammates’ progress. As a Senior Software Analyst, am I expected to take on these responsibilities, or is it okay to refrain from doing them? Will I be benefitted in anyway?

You won't get promoted straight away as you have 6 years of experience, but take it as a learning opportunity in 2 years you'll be first to get promoted if you do this very well

Okay I am not sure if you know this, you need to already start working as promoted role then only your leads and DU will think and consider you for giving the role officially. Your attitude towards the promotion should be like that you are already working like that and it was a title change for you

Yes, already started to take up most of the responsibilities.

You might be day dreaming that you are doing TLs workan you will be promoted to TL . H is just offloading his work to you.wait for a month, December cycle outcome is about to come

Depends!!! Being AM doesn't mean he should not handle TL jobs.
Are you planning to grow in Accenture? Are you learned enough in your tech and you don't have much to learn ? Then do as he asked.
Else just shut up and learn more on the tech part. Whatever he asks is something I do always and it's not something I love and it kills my work time.

Yes, and in the next 1 to 1, tell him that I need promotion.
