Should I Switch to AI Role with Lower Pay

Hi everyone,

I am currently in the 8th semester of my Bachelor’s degree and working as an Associate Solutions Engineer with a package of 5 LPA. However, I am relatively new to this role and the domain.

I have a strong interest in AI and am passionate about building a career in this field. Recently, I received an offer from a startup (established in 2021) for an AI Engineer role. The compensation structure is ₹10,000/month for the first 6 months, followed by ₹25,000/month thereafter, and the role is completely work-from-home (6 days a week).

I am feeling quite confused about whether I should prioritize my interest in AI and transition into this role, or continue in my current position for better financial stability.

I would truly appreciate any guidance or advice from those who have faced a similar situation.
