Trending @Infosys; Should I stay or leave
Hi,
My H1B was picked in the lottery this year, but my they didn’t file it, citing budget constraints. After I resigned, with only two weeks left in my notice period, they suddenly asked if I was interested in relocating to Canada. Meanwhile, I have another offer with a 50% hike.
Should I stay or move forward with the new offer?

research about the state of Canada currently (Canada is fcked) decide, weigh the pros and cons. try to get US from them if not then india

Switch Infosys. I have seen people who got promise to get onsite opportunity but just a day before of the departure date they get to know their ticket has been cancelled.

Would suggest go ahead with your offer unless u have an aspiration for onsite. Canada is already screwed up and the cost of living is too high given the low wages offered through ICT tier 2 visa sponsored by Infosys.

LEAVE.
The hikes and promotions here are so bad that you will keep struggling every year and once you travel forget about the promotions. It is better to leave and earn better.

My lead and also have been ex manager for an year, had been to somewhat similar situation, he resigned 2 months back. He was also JL5 and was supposed to be promoted to JL6 but before that the upper mgmt made him do the managerial work, promised for onsite and now we are in a new project and he's back to being a team lead, on resignation Mgr, Hr again promised 30% hike and Canada for onsite.

It depends on how soon will you travel to Canada. The visa process is too slow. Get an approximate date to travel and make sure that they stay by that date. If the date is close like in 2-3 months then I think Canada is a good option , if they say if May take like 5-6 months they go with your new offer.

As @Icylake mentioned, if you are able to go to Canada , then please go. The benefits outweigh

They won't send you in the near future...at least 5 years . Better leave.
