Should I Stay Home or Return to Bengaluru for Job Hunting?

I quit my job in January and haven’t landed an offer yet, though I’ve made it to the final rounds multiple times. Right now, I’m staying at my parents' house while still paying ₹10K rent for my 1BHK in Bengaluru.

I’ve been consistently upskilling and working on projects, but I’m unsure whether to continue my job search from home or return to Bengaluru. At home, I don’t have to worry about chores, laundry, or cooking, allowing me to focus entirely on my preparation. However, I don’t have friends here, whereas in Bengaluru, I do—but that also means potential weekend ride invites and distractions.

What do you guys suggest? Should I make the move back or continue searching from home?

Keep looking from home
Return to Bangalore and keep looking
Any suggestions would help

Well honestly, it's totally upto you.
If you have finances figured out, and you can manage to stay in blr without running out of Entire savings for 3-4 months. Then you should stay in blr,

Why?

  1. Friends, connects, meetups, = referrals
  2. Easy for walk-in interviews ( wrap up the entire interview process in 1 day ).
  3. Sure there would be distracting elements but you won't be bored.

Go home if you can't manage finances.

  1. Whenever you get your job back ask for relocation benefits, if they don't offer it. Then, you already have your friends place (stay there for a while ).

  2. No distractions= focus study = faster results.

  3. No more stupid expenses of living in blr for a while.
