Should I start preparing for SSC / Govt job ?

Looking at how AI agents that can take a simple feature request modify the existing codebase, test it, deploy it and even fix production issues automatically. I feel in the next 5–7 years almost all of coding work might be handled by AI itself.

If that really happens won’t it mean that out of 100 software engineers only about 10 highly skilled ones will be needed and the rest could lose their jobs?

Given this future, I’m unsure if it is better to start preparing for SSC or a stable government career instead?

AI will replace all those which can be done twice the same way like automation does but there still will be requirement of those who can use right prompt for ai to code tbe same, cross verify the code and debugg if anything is breaking. Not everything can be replaced right now in 5 years but obviously in 10 years similarly like c++ then java then html then python etc

Yeah that's why I said it requires only 10 dev to check all these instead of 100, and after that all companies start using these agents and start firing employees. That's why is it better to start preparing ssc and get a stable job or not ? As 8th pay commission is on the way.
