Trending @Accenture; Should I Resign Without an Offer?
I have 4+ years of experience and I’m currently working in Accenture. My current role is mostly support-based with limited growth, but I want to transition fully into Data Analytics.
I’ve already completed relevant certifications and courses (SQL, Power BI, Python, Google Analytics, etc.) and I’m actively applying for Data Analytics roles. The main challenge is 90-day notice period – recruiters usually don’t shortlist because of it.
I’m thinking of resigning without an offer in hand so that I can serve my notice period while applying and interviewing. Financially, I have enough savings to sustain myself for 6–7 months, so I can manage without immediate income.
Has anyone here taken this step before? Did resigning first actually help you get more calls for Data Analytics jobs, or is it too risky in the current market?
Would really appreciate your advice and experiences 🙏

Risky., but not for skilled resource. Mention 30 days while applying. When getting selected immediately call HR and manager for early relese. They will deny mostly. Try these things 1- Buy out NP 2- get rolled off from project saying medical issue like- Chronic anxiety or stress and u need break, based on this u can ask for early release or at least roll off Once got roll off, bench will release you within 30 days. 3- if u have good relationship with PL or PM. Then discuss internally, promise to deliver KT and replacement before 30 days. This is kind if tough shit

I actually spoke to my PL about a roll-off and also checked with HR about a buyout option, but both were denied because of high dependency on the current project. That’s what makes it tricky for me — even though I want to move out sooner, the project dependency is holding me back.

Best time to resign is either in November or December.
So that from January hiring would be humongous. High likely you would land in a new job.

True, Jan–Mar is usually strong for hiring. But I can already see a lot of openings right now from September onwards, which makes me think of resigning now itself so that I’m free by the start of January. Do you think this is also a good time to resign, considering the current market?

Right now is not the right time

You will not get release early before 90 days. There will be no buyout as well. Only option is the medical issue and your supervisor support. Create and rukus and tell them you cant do work even 1 day.

Fall hiring is on with companies, so there are some jobs out there. However I would advise you against this and this go south pretty soon and is risky as hell, because just because the jobs are out there doesnt mean they a flexible with their requirements. Job market is more paranoid now, since a lot of mnc lost projects due to cost. Resign only if you have offer in hand, trust me the company that wants to hire you will wait for 90 days and you do the fending during that period.
