Should I Resign from TCS to Get More Interview Calls?

I’m currently working at TCS in a support project that’s not aligned with my skill set. I’ve been upskilling on my own and actively looking for a developer roles.

I’ve noticed that many companies seem to prefer candidates who are already serving their notice period. So, I’m seriously considering resigning from TCS even without having an offer in hand, just to increase my chances of getting callbacks.

Has anyone here done this before?

Did resigning help you get more interviews?

Did it backfire in any way?

Please help me.

In Current market, its very difficult. Test it by just putting immediate joiner in naukri or linkedin, yourself will have first hand experience of how the job market is. "Dont test the depth of water with both legs"

It’s not the right time to resign and hunt. There is a chance if u resign they might release u immediately and job market is quite not good. So think before taking that step.

Don't resign to hunt for jobs .. just start naukri linkedin job hunt yourself first and see market condition . And if asked for notice period just lie that u r in project bench or without project , ready to join in a month . First grab offer
