Trending @Infosys; Should I resign??
I currently work at Infosys. My current CTC is around ₹15.5 LPA, and my promotion affective from Jan 1 will increase to around ₹18–18.5 LPA.
Recently, I received an offer from TCS. The recruiter initially told me that the fixed salary would be ₹19 LPA. No variable. They made the offer on my past CTC as I did not get current compensation revision letter.
Now I am trying to decide how to handle the situation.
My current thought process is to accept the TCS offer and then resign from Infosys, which would start my 3-month notice period. Since I have strong performance at Infosys, I believe there is a chance the company might attempt to retain me with a better offer or salary correction. If that happens, I would then have to decide whether to stay at Infosys with a retention offer or move to TCS with the package that was offered. Or take the offer letter and utilise it to get better offer in product-based companies as its hiring quarter.
So essentially, my situation is that I have: • A potential salary increase coming at Infosys through appraisal/promotion • An external offer from TCS with a higher overall package • A plan to possibly use the TCS offer to trigger a retention offer from Infosys during my notice period
I want to understand what would be the best way to approach this situation and what risks or considerations I should keep in mind before making a decision.

My brother is a HR at TCS
He said layoffs 2.0 is coming mid summer
So if you have high package and no project, they will force resign you or terminate for unethical reasons
If you are having a project at infosys and comfortable with it, I suggest to not switch to TCS
You can try CTS or other companies with the offer in hand
I strongly suggest you to avoid TCS at the moment

Thanks for the insider

Join TCS only if have project
Else you will be laid off due to high salary

Yup see if infosys offers atleast 20 lpa fixed or more. If not better to move to tcs
