Should I move to Netherlands

Current CTC ₹30LPA, new offer from Netherlands is €70kpa. It’s not the most lucrative since after tax, rent I’ll save as much as I do right now. But considering other parameters like growth, lifestyle etc does it make sense.

Do it
Don’t, you’re better off in india

However progressive the world gets, you're an alien abroad.

Was in Chennai for 2 years. Felt more alienated than I did even in Singapore.

Go. See the world. It will enrich you more than money. Travelling in eu is cheap. Save 1k euro atleast per month though. Do an sip in an Index fund.

You can always come back to India and have a job that takes care of everything.

You won't have same health as you have now to take risks, travels etc.

  1. Ask if insurance is covered as part of CTC. Once you move out of India. You might require separate insurance for parents as employers will not cover for parents.

  2. How frequently would you travel to India in case your parents like to see you?

  3. Do you self cook?

  4. How is WLB in that company?

Get answers for these questions.

It all depends on how much your family is dependent on you. If no dependency. Just move to Netherlands.

Insurance is covered. Parents insured as well.

I’d want to get my parents here once and come to India once every year

I cook for myself in india as well.

WLB from what I can gauge is good, Netherlands is famous for great WLB and this company doesn’t give me any red flags.

Indians do really well eventually in abroad. Go ahead take that risk. Worst case you are back to India 🇮🇳

Regarding the salary, it may not be that high. But once you go there, you talk to people, network, attend Meetup’s, and find a good company with a greater pay. But you cannot do all those from here. So just goo

Bro if you are married and have kids then it is not worth. 70k is low. You will hard time in managing family for the 1st year , doing chores etc. If 30l is base salary then India is best to stay with family. You and your family will have better lifestyle in india.
If you are not married and no plans in near future then go abroad. This will be right time to explore and save money.
