Should I mention the fact that I am work in Google as a vendor while applying for a full time role at Google?

I am applying through a completely unrelated referral and have to submit a short write up for "Why should Google hire you". Should I mention that I am a vendor?

On one hand, being already acquainted with internal tech infra like plx can be seen as a slight plus point during the cv shortlisting phase at least, can it be a deterrent considering non-compete clauses which Google might not want to get involved in? I am not related to the referrer and it might also help explain how he knows that I am a good fit.
