Should I learn backend or focus on mastering frontend

Hey everyone,

I’m currently working as a Frontend SDE with 4 years of experience. I enjoy working on the frontend side, but I’ve been wondering if learning the backend (and becoming more full-stack) would help me grow faster in my career, or if I should double down and focus on truly mastering frontend engineering.

I’d love to hear from people who’ve been in a similar position —

Did the learning backend significantly impact your growth and opportunities?

Or did going deep into frontend specialization work better for you?

Any insights or personal experiences would be super helpful.
