Should I lay off the house-help?

The house is not helped. City: Bengaluru

We agreed for her timing to be between 7 to 7:30 am but she is barely on time. She's been working with us for a year and has been on time for less than 100 days that too after I almost beg her to come on time. My partner works from home 2-3 days a week and I have to go 4 days, so she assumes someone would be at home and is usually late, my partner lets her in to do her tasks but it's mostly between his work day. Or she calls me in the evening asking if I'm home yet as she knows my office is closer. Both of us are tired of adjusting our schedules to her and the convenience we expect from having a house help is not achieved. So should we fire her?

Oh and, she gets flexible timings from Friday to Sunday. She has to come on time 4 days a week and that rarely happens.

She’s a headache. Get rid of her.

Obviously get rid of her.

We fired our househelp and had the exact situation, she came at 7AM dot on the first day, and never came on time after that. Her work was good which is why we were hesitant to let her go, but this one time she came at 10 PM (her evening time is 6PM) we told her bye bye.

How is her work? Does she do things properly? If so, then you can still manage. Getting a house help who does quality work and is punctual can be tough. Most of them might already be employed nearby.

Yea, that's my doubt. Her work is ok, she's fast but no complaints on quality.
I don't know if I'll find someone with similar work quality and better punctuality..
