
Should i demand partial payment of gratuity?

My role in the current organisation has been impacted due to restructuring with a last working date of June 30. As per my understanding, after 4 years and 6 months, I would have been eligible for gratuity here. However, since this is an involuntary termination, can I still demand part payment of gratuity from my employer (big MNC). I'm just 6 months and 6 days short of becoming gratuity eligible?

I have received an offer from another company and the notice period in my current org is 90 days. If I quit now, my last date will be June 26. Should I resign in the system now or just wait till my last date of June 30 for an automatic exit? What would my experience letter say and what would be the impact? I haven't told my new employer that my role is redundant here.
