Should i consider this as a warning to look for another job?
13 years into IT, I got my first time with the worst feedback.
I joined a stable startup which doesn't have a history of layoffs or firing. I am working with a client who gave negative feedback about my work to my manager. My manager directly called and asked me to be about this.
One interview, 1000+ job opportunities
Take a 10-min AI interview to qualify for numerous real jobs auto-matched to your profile 🔑Probably they will put you in PIP not directly layoff

I don't know how to handle this person...
Thinking should i start looking outside or not.... As i completed only 3 months here.. What should i tell the HR on why are you leaving so soon...

Rule 1 of IT... every man for himself... Grind LeetCode

Feedback he toh hai… itni tension! Paisa milega toh kaam karo; nahi milta toh chod do….

Tension hei bhai..... Nahi milega toh dusra dekhna padega na... Phir interview phir waiting.. Dont want to be this loop again...

You should always be prepared be it what kind of organization .never stay more than 2 years in a company keep changing ....keep giving interview ALWAYS

Yea... Need to start prepare again

First six months are difficult after company change. In 13 years how many times have you changed ?

4....

All.these are excuses to set you back in your path to higher salary negotiations in the same company ... these are HR tricks. So, do not fall into the trap. Let.me give you some ways how HR works: a) Company has not made profits ... so variable pay is gone. Ne er has the company paid extra when it made profits... max one gets is full amount of variable pay. 2) Layoffs everywhere becoz of AI, so TCS smartly deferred it's hikes from Apr to Aug, pocketed the amount of 4 months of salary hikes for 6 lakhs employees into their accounts as profits. Employees could.do nothing, thanks god job is saved. c) Bad performance in project, has client paid less for the billing hours? No... then why is the PIP coming in, as the consultant has not caused losses to the project due to billing rates. d) Someone joined a startup, did excellent work for months worked hard for beta release of the product... VC/marketing agent review was bad as they were not able to find customer demand for the product ... funding stopped ... startup.winded off... you got laid off for no fault of yours.
so stop having this guilt and move on to the next company with the knowledge you have gathered.

Hey buddy, don’t stress much firstly try to communicate with client first .. tell him where you found gap/area of improvement so basically you can work on same. In IT communication > work and assure them that you will work on those areas and give your 100% without thinking about pass or fail result. Your mental health is first and there are multiple projects with your profile so always have backup. All the best Buddy😀

Yes please consider move out I stayed and got PIP again 😔

But what to say for leaving such a short notice when HR calls..
Check with the client directly, ask him what does he expect from you

There is a vendor war going on... So we got know they might be leaving or continuing depending upon the dependencies... From my senior i got to know that there were hard reviewing and constantly correcting our work.. Somehow they had a very good rapo with the senior level managers who are decision makers in the project. Thats what worries me.

They could have had forced resignation or PIP. Either way I doubt one signal can lead to this. If they are sure you’re bad and want this aggressively evaluated then they’ll put on PIP (assuming there’s a scope you come out of it well). Best wait for more signals before jumping to conclusion. This looks new for you so you might be overthinking it.

Its a very unlikely scenario

Since it's a start up don't expect politics like hcl or TechM. Unless your manager has a problem. Suggest you sit with him to understand all customer issues and see what you can do about it and show your progress to both customer and later to manager. It's not necessary that customer is bad all the time!
