Trending @Cognizant; Should I ask my manager to promote me or else release me from the project.

I'm a PA and didn't get promoted in this cycle. Although I have worked hard on this project, I delivered my tasks in time. My team is kind of toxic also.

What approach should I take, I am thinking if I am released I'll get enough (6 months) time to switch the company or if I can't, I'll join a project.

What could be the risks this way.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated

Thanks 😊

Firstly, do not get released from project - bench period is 55 days to the max. Exceeding it leads to termination. So be careful.

Secondly, There will be promotions in Dec first week (jan effective promotion). Do confirm with your managet by this month itself.

I would suggest try switching the company as well check with your manager on promotion, make sure you are doing both the process in parallel

You will be released in 2 months so until get promotion I suggest you to work in current project as they have changed the norms of promotional eligibility.

If the project has some dependency on me, since one dev has already moved on. Is there any chances of getting promoted.

Else if I am getting released after 2 months, I will get 6 months to prepare and switch?

I would suggest not to release from the project as PA, no opening for PA you will face alot of issues, ask for promotion if you want to switch put paper and search outside
