Should I ask my Manager for Release?

I have been allocated to one kind of support project(we do only operations not the development work). It's been 1 year, Since joining I'm not feeling any satisfaction with the work, Rather I have much more interest in MERN Stack(Done few handful of projects),

1.Should I ask my DM for release for now and find a new project internally and join until I get a few offers? or 2.Just stay in this project until I find an offer outside TCS(quite a tough task).

I'm not at all getting any objective to work/spend whole day working on this project, where I can get some experience by doing real time projects other than this.

Also, I want to explore other emerging tech and not to stick with MERN alone. Please give your kind advice.

PS: 1.5Yr Exp.

If you want to get out of a project in TCS , firstly you should not have any dependency else any chance of ramp down in project. Find a solution by seeking the support of past colleagues who worked in the project. That should give you a better chance for an exit...

Ok, Thank you. Yes,I do not have much dependency on the project that I made sure from the day I joined this project.

Better look out in the market and find a better compensation and better opportunity , they will not release you easily.
