
Should I ask for appraisal?
I am working in a company(WFM) and its been 1 year. Recently my senior colleague left the company and he was having salary of i.e. 1 L INR per month. My salary i.e. 62000 INR per month (boss told me that if your performance is good thn will increase my pay in 6 months, but obviously nothing Is done)
Senior colleague resigned from job (4 months ago), all his work and task is being done by me plus my work also so basically I am doing his job + my job also. ( I work directly with founder of company and there is only one employee and that's me)
Now my question is should I ask my boss to increase my salary i.e 80k-90k INR per month as my work load also increased Please suggest if anyone Faced same situation or similar to this.

I asked for a raise when one of my colleagues left and I knew I'll be the next reliable one. I talked with my manager highlighting my pay was low. He realised I'm actually paid low and straight away took it with the HR. It majorly depends on your manager. Managers who value people will give you the raise even without an offer letter because they value you. But no harm in asking.
