
Should I accept retention ?
Hi 👋, I have 3.5 years of experience in cloud, ML, and generative AI. I recently put in my resignation after receiving an offer of 15 LPA. TCS HR has offered me 11 LPA to retain, and I've asked them to match the new offer.
If TCS give me offer of 14 LPA Can I consider it. Also there is a lot much dependency on me and the manager wants me in his team he doesn't want to lose me

Dependency is a myth , sooner or later they will find a replacement and they will put you on a fluidity list, that's what they are doing nowadays.

That's true but here the situation is different in another project (same delivery manger) they did not get any ML trained resources in he added two freshers and introduced me as solution architect to customer and now I am working on two projects with two different clients

Out of topic question. What you do as generative AI expert?

I worked on 8+ POC and pilot includes building a solution using RAG or Agent or other techniques powered by LLM to achieve takes which are time consuming human intensive. Simply building an automation solution where design making required and design taken by LLM as per instructions

What should I learn to switch?

If you consider then ask them to send written email. Otherwise it is just a lolipop. I believe they already started backup for you.😅

Don't trust TCS. Just move on...
Dude even though they offer 14 LPA, it won't reflect on monthly in hand much, it would be far less then what you will be getting in new org, I suggest you to move on
