Trending @Accenture; Shitty Decision Making Skills

Not sure if everyone at Accenture goes through these same things or not, but I have witnessed it in 2 projects which I have been a part of.. WHY THESE PEOPLE CANNOT HAVE A CLEAR ROLES AND AUTHORITY CHART???? Despite being a so-called "Team Lead", why are there 3 tls in every project I see? With no team to manage? And being asked to work as in individual contributor?? Also, I manage the client, and there is an AM who doesn't work at all, still I have to report to him, and all he does is sit and chill?? Is that even fair??? I work for the client so need to focus on that part only, is what the Senior Manager tells me everytime I complain against this AM! I am so frustrated with this stupidity, seriously shall take the first chance to run away from this toxic workplace

My team consists of 18 members, including 6 managers and 2 AMs. However, they only seem to want updates and then complain about budget issues. Lol !!

Waste of thinking or complaining they won't focus on the people who are not working and acting they only focus on who are working....

Seriously!! And the worst part is when the Onshore Team asks about the AM's contributions on the task, I HAVE to cover it up, because we are part of "Offshore" and cannot play blame game with each other in front of Onshore🤯

Haha the worst thing in accenture bro is management..... If they concentrate on the people who are acting then they will be no escalations and no pressure will be there because of actors hard workers and freshers facing issues and because of some actors good TLs are roll off from the projects 🥲

I am not taking sides here, and I don’t clearly know the background, but L8 and above are expected to handle organizational tasks as well as project-specific activities. For example, tasks such as solutioning, RFI, RFQ, RFP, orals for new client proposals, mentoring, staffing, skills interviews, etc., are part of their yearly priorities.

Some AMs and Ms are partially allocated to projects, spending around 50% of their time on client delivery and the remaining time on other tasks. If an AM or M is allocated 100% to a project, they should contribute to both organizational tasks and project tasks. They can’t simply focus on other tasks exclusively.

Yes, the titles of TL and AM may not make sense if they don’t have direct reports, but it is a choice given to them to work as individual contributors or as people managers. Promotions and hikes often go to favorite people.

If you want to grow here, speak out and ask for what you want. No one is going to advocate for you. Learn to say NO if you feel something is not right.
