Shifting from Product To Business/consulting roles - Seniors Please Advise
Hi all,
I was currently working as a product analyst and got layed off - 2024 batch.
8 months of experience in product domain.
After searching for multiple opportunities and applying
I got 2 offers
Category demand manager and associate consultant(zs)
I want to be in product domain, but need job too and I am not sure will switching from other domains to product will be easier after I take any of these offers.
I also have a product intern offer but 50% chances of conversion to full time as a product analyst.
What would you suggest
Please help me out.
So is it not worth getting into entry level product roles like apm , i m trying from so so so long but unfortunately didnt get anything till now , dunno where am i lagging or what should i improve
get a mba or maybe do mocks get feedbacks, build some product, be a founder, try having some tech skills SQL, have a portfolio, approch people for mentorship, you can do alot of things tbh
Yes i am planning for masters abroad but not now , i graduated last year , what portfolios can i build like target companies pick product and improve it or build my own product using AI or no code tools , honestly preparing to switch and doing job for 9 hrs is difficult but i am trying and wanna get into some good roles within 1-2 months
Product is overrated and the supply is far higher than the demand. Get into any actual roles related to product if product is your major interest. Like product analyst, pmm etc
Yeah the intern is actually product domain
